Every March, our scouts canvas a local neighborhood to participate in the Scouting for Food project. We drop off door hangars one weekend and collect food the following weekend. Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors, and the effort of our scouts, we are able to donate the food to a local food pantry. The food is used to help those in need within our immediate community.
In Oct 2014, the Webelos of the Firebird and Maize patrols participated in a service project to benefit the school in which many of our scouts attend. The scouts repainted the map of the United States of America on the schools playground. This was a difficult project as many of the states where faded out.
