Welcome to Akron Neighborhood Girl Scouts



We hope that this site will help keep all of our parents and girls informed of neighborhood and troop events.
Leaders this site is also developed as a resource for you and your troop.

Parents- there is a private part to this site and only Akron Girl Scout members are able to view this through a log in system, which you are invited to once becoming a member.

The Akron Neighborhood Girl Scouts serves girls
in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade.
 

GSUSA and our mission is to build girls of courage,
confidence and character
who make the world a better place.

We are Located in Beautiful Akron, New York (east of Buffalo), in Erie County.




      

Our neighborhood participates in the following annual events

Council QSP Nut/Magazine Sale- Fall 
Council Cookie Sale- Feb.- Mar.
Girl Scout Sunday- in March (this event rotates between the community churches)
Community Food Drive (for the Akron Food Pantry)
Annual Awards Ceremony in May
Memorial Day Activities (Flag placement at cemeteries and Parade)

Our troops take part in community service projects yearly- and are always looking for new ideas to make their community a better place.


Our service team consists of the following volunteers

Children's Book Bank


              
The Children's Book Bank that was formerly housed at St. John's Trinity Lutheran Church on Main St. in Akron is NOW at home at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 4809 S. Newstead Rd. Akron.  The book bank is looking for new and gently used books (Kindergarten-Middle School level) to help replenish those books that have been distributed since their opening in 2013.  If you have any book donations for drop off or pick up please contact us at akrongirlscout@gmail.com or 716-864-3285.
